ResVita Bio is an early-stage synthetic biology start-up spun out of UC Berkeley. We seek to build genetically engineered skin probiotics to treat chronic skin diseases. We have developed a platform for controlled colonization of the skin with engineered therapeutic bacteria and are applying this to multiple disease areas. We have submitted an application to the FDA for the Rare Pediatric Disease Designation for Netherton Syndrome, a devastating skin condition that most severely affects children, and are actively progressing programs in atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
ResVita Bio is hiring an Immunology Intern to help develop the next generation of bio-therapies to treat deadly and destructive skin diseases. Hands-on experience with mouse models is essential for this role. The Immunology Intern will work under the mentorship of a scientist in a highly collaborative, transparent environment with others with expertise in metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, skin microbiota biology, and clinical diseases and treatments to bring new therapeutic bacterial strains from conception to IND filing. Prior experience with microbial organisms is not required.
At ResVita Bio, we believe a diverse workforce will help us achieve our mission to meaningfully change the outcome of many human diseases. Come and play an important role in the development and commercialization of a technology at the forefront of biology and engineering.
